About Us

What Calqentis is, and what it is not

A plain statement of purpose: who built this platform, why it exists, and what it does not do.

Our Purpose

An educational resource, nothing more

Calqentis was created to address a gap. Real estate crowdlending is a topic that attracts significant interest in Chile, but accessible, neutral educational content about how it actually works is scarce. Most content available comes from platforms with a commercial interest in the reader participating.

This platform has no such interest. We do not operate a crowdlending platform. We do not earn fees when someone participates in a project through any third party. We do not have commercial agreements with any platform in the sector.

The content here is structured to help people understand what they are looking at when they encounter this type of instrument, so they can form their own assessment.

Our Principles

How we approach content

Accuracy over simplicity

We do not simplify to the point of misleading. Where a topic is genuinely complex, we say so and work through the complexity rather than glossing over it. Oversimplification in financial education creates false confidence, which is worse than no education at all.

No recommendations

This platform does not tell people whether to participate in crowdlending, which platforms to use, or how much to put into any instrument. Those decisions belong to the individual and, where appropriate, to qualified financial advisors. Our role ends at explanation.

Chilean context specifically

Content is written for the Chilean legal and market environment. Regulatory references are to Chilean law and the CMF framework. Construction sector characteristics described reflect the Chilean market. Generic international content about crowdlending may not apply here, and we try to be clear about what is specific to Chile.

Updated as the landscape changes

Chilean financial regulation around fintech and crowdlending is still developing. The CMF has been active in this space and the framework continues to evolve. We aim to keep content current with regulatory developments rather than leaving outdated information in place.

A Chilean platform, focused on Chile

Calqentis SpA is registered in Chile and operates from Curicó, in the Maule region. The platform was constituted in 2018 and has been developing educational content on real estate financing topics since then.

Being based in Chile is not incidental. It means the team has direct familiarity with the local construction market, the regulatory environment, and the practical questions that arise for people navigating this space in the Chilean context.
